Best Universities in Georgia for International Students

With an increasing number of students choosing to attend one of the over 60 universities in Georgia, the education system in the country, along with its programs and the institutes at which they are taught, are all experiencing an expansion. The quality is rising quickly, as are the breadth of opportunities being offered to international students.

Most of the universities in the country conduct programs in the native language of Georgian. There have traditionally been a few schools designed for international students (or at least programs within universities designed for foreign scholars) that conduct lectures and courses in either English or Russian - both of which are much more widely spoken than Georgian. However, the country is seeing a growth in offerings oriented toward those students coming from around the world to engage in studies.

Perhaps stemming from the country’s well-known culture of hospitality, universities are putting a concerted effort into catering to the needs of visitors, temporary students, and even more long-term international students. But with over 60 universities, plus a slew of private universities, colleges, and institutes, scattered across the country, how is a student supposed to choose which university is right for them?
