Leavenworth is the county seat and largest city of Leavenworth County, Kansas, United States and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. It is a charming Bavarian-themed mountain town located on the eastern side of the Cascade Range, and it is a popular tourist destination and particularly so in winter for its winter activities and Christmas celebrations.
