About the university
In 2017, the Business and Information Technology School and the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule merged to form a private university with branches in three different German cities. The University of Applied Sciences Europe works to train its graduates in such a way that they are able to succeed in a modern, digital economy, and international employers recognize the weight of a diploma from a university with a membership in the Global University Systems. Students are able to study for a bachelor's degree or master's degree in fields such as communications, film, game design, business psychology, business management, journalism, or fitness and health. There is also a Foundation Year program
for high school graduates who haven't gained acceptance to a German university but wish to gain that acceptance. One of UE's satellite campuses is located in the North German city of Hamburg near the Elbe River. Here students can walk around the block to the Republic Plaza where they can lounge in the sun and study in the grass next to a beautiful fountain. In their free time, students might enjoy exploring the Speicherstadt with its museums and quaint architecture, or they might enjoy taking in a show at the unique Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The canals and industry bring a diverse mix of people to the city, allowing students to experience the best of both German and international culture. Whether students are craving a walk back in time to Germany's past or hours spent with the brightest young minds involved in the technological future of the city, Hamburg has both and everything in between. It's the perfect city for experiencing culture while also preparing for a future in an applied sciences field.

Hamburg is home to one of the biggest harbors in Europe. A stroll along its many waterways and canals illustrates why it has been called the "Venice of the North." Hamburg is situated in the north of Germany between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. With media groups and major corporations based here, the city is one of Germany's most important economic centers. Hamburg is typically multi-cultural. At the port, you can watch ships setting out to sea – the harbor city is the "gateway to the world".
