It was created as one of four Arkansas high schools to teach agriculture, horticulture and the art of textile manufacturing. Jonesboro is a city in Craighead County, Arkansas, United States. Jonesboro is home to Arkansas State University and New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine's A-State campus. It is a regional center for manufacturing, agriculture, medicine, education, and trade. Further than educations, the city area is served by the Jonesboro Economic Transit System (JETS).
