International House
International House provides a unique opportunity in the world of English language studies. Students can live in exotic Thailand while still receiving a quality English education from native speakers who hold a Cambridge CELTA teaching certificate. The Thailand branches of International House are part of a network of 150 schools worldwide that have been training both language students and language teachers since 1953. Since other language programs send their teachers to International House for training, students who learn at International House know they're learning from the best. Programs are offered for people of all ages, and though courses focus equally on reading, writing, speaking, and listening, teachers are able to adjust their focus based on the needs of the student. Courses available include General English for children through adults, Conversational English, Business English, and Exam Preparation courses for a variety of English exams and college entrance exams (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, and GED). International House staff cares for students both during and after their time with the school, working with students to figure out what steps they need to take after course completion. For some students this may mean more language courses, but for students who wish to apply to an English-speaking university, International House staff advises and assists as students make that transition.
The International House campus in Bangkok gives students the opportunity to study in a lively, urban atmosphere. The campus is located downtown and accessible by public transportation, allowing students to explore all of Bangkok. The shopping district, restaurants, and street food vendors are within walking distance of the campus, and the quieter side of Bangkok is found close by in riverside palaces and temples or on a boat ride through the canal. Though Bangkok is a large, capital city, it is also a safe city enabling students to explore it with ease and converse with locals in English. With International House Bangkok staff as their guides, students will be able to enjoy all the city has to offer while improving their language skills.

Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is known for its vibrancy, culture, and history. Temples and palaces dating back hundreds of years sit along the Chao Phraya River and mix with modern city life, commerce, and amenities. The weather stays mostly warm with a rainy season in the summer, allowing lush vegetation to grow in city parks, orchards, and rice paddies within Bangkok and national parks around the country. Visitors can stroll through the city and sample the famous street food, such as spring rolls, Som Tam, and Pad Thai, and also take advantage of accessible public transportation to explore the city by taxi or tuk-tuk. With around 10 million residents and 40 universities, the city is always alive and ready to engage visitors, though sacred and serene spaces are only steps away from the hustle and bustle.
